Conclusion
Rural society and urban society are two important forms of human society. Rural society is
based on agriculture, strong family bonds, traditions, and close relationships with nature.
Urban society, on the other hand, is based on industries, technology, modern lifestyles, and
professional relationships.
Although both societies are different, they depend on each other. Villages provide food and
raw materials, while cities provide technology, industries, education, and employment
opportunities. Therefore, both rural and urban societies are essential for the overall
development of a country.

3. Discuss the impact of communalism on social harmony in India.
Ans: Impact of Communalism on Social Harmony in India
India is a country of many religions, languages, cultures and traditions. People belonging to
Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism and many other religions have
lived together for centuries. The feeling of living together with mutual respect and
understanding is called social harmony. However, communalism creates divisions among
people and disturbs this harmony.
Meaning of Communalism
Communalism is an ideology in which people give more importance to their own religion or
community than to the nation as a whole. It creates feelings of hatred, distrust and conflict
between different religious groups.
For example, when people believe that the interests of one religion are different from or
superior to those of another religion, communalism develops. Political leaders, rumors,
social media and historical misunderstandings often increase communal feelings.
